UNDERSTANDING  2 CORINTHIANS 5:17

MANY pastors, preachers, and teacher have come up with different interpretations of the word of God, some are sound, some are ignorant while some are under the influence of false spirit.
TODAY I will dwell on 2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new

They say you don't have to make restitution at all
They say you don't have to bother about the error of your past
They say you don't have to pray to nullify all evil
covenant you have made.

WHAT BECOMES NEW at salvation is our spiritual identity, or spiritual nationality we are now a citizen of the kingdom of God.  this takes place instantly in our spirit man  but a lot are still the same.

FOR EXAMPLE
Your tribal mark on your face is not new
Your height is still the same
Court case is still intact
You are still a man or a woman
The womb that was removed is still removed
YOU are second wife that has not changed
Whatever you stole from office is still there
The fake documents are still intact
YOUR profession is still same.
The color of your hair is still the same
Your voice has not changed
You still have the same parent

When we accept Jesus we experienced spiritual rebirth John 3:3
We are expected to use the authority of this new birth to correct our past
So that the link between us and darkness is broken. JESUS ENTERED the home of Zacchaeus  and he confessed he had returned what he stole from others. Luke 19  : 1-10
The only person who don't have to do anything is the one that gave his life when breathing the last breath LIKE ONE OF THE THIEVES CRUCIFIED BESIDE JESUS.
So IT IS YOUR SPIRIT THAT IS NEW NOT YOUR SOUL OR BODY
that is why after salvation some Christians  still
Lie,
get angry
some dress well but dont forgive
Some are caring but dress worldly
Some Christians still love money than God

BELOVETH LET THE FIRE OF THE NEW BIRTH SPREAD TO YOUR SOUL AND YOUR BODY THEN ALL WILL BE NEW. ROMANS.12: 1-3. I beseech  you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
